As dancers in the modern world, we are constantly comparing ourselves to each other. We strive to become what is considered the 'perfect' dancer, forgetting who we are. The pressures of the industry force us forget our identity and leave behind our uniqueness, in order to fit into the model of someone else's preference. We become ridged, mechanical robots of the dance world, when what we should be doing is embracing and celebrating ourselves and our individuality. We become clones.
